The World Café method of conversation is useful for community discussions. Action for Healthy Communities offers training in the community. Now we are doing community dialogues in the inner city of Edmonton . (link to current page AHC: Voices from our Neighbourhoods, Community Dialogues) These dialogues are based on the World Café way of talking about issues. Together people discuss what is important to them. A goal of this interactive curriculum is to help you learn the World Cafe process that is being used in Edmonton and all over the world. World Cafe' Animator

As a World Café animator, your job is to set up the basics for conversation among people. You may ask yourself, what's so special about informal conversation? You may be surprised to see how talking as equals among many different people can be an exciting experience in itself. As neighbours get together to talk, they take a first step in overcoming their isolation, the feeling that they are on their own in the world. As an animator, you have a big role to play in making that happen.
